Green dots on rocks

    It looks like little green dots starting on the rocks, some are really bright green...
    Any idea what it is?

    its hard to tell, but bright green too me sounds like the begginings of GHA or film algae but of those too i'd probably say film. it could also be corailline algae which is good. corailline tends to run a little paler or darker IMO.

    Can't tell for sure. Does it come off easily or is it fuzzy? I agree a cleanup crew will help a lot. Looks like you have some diatoms too. How old is your tank? If fairly new, some algae is expected.

    I currently have 10 nasarius and 20 cerith in there. Do I really need more?

    Tank is 2.5 months old and is nearing the end of the diatom bloom.
