    Hey,
I'm new to the hobby and I just found this coiled up brown worm, but I think it's dead. Any need to worry? I don't know how to tell the difference between a bristle worm and a fire worm. I think fire worms are "hairy", and this one looks mostly smooth. Can you help ID this worm please? See attached pic.
    Thanks in advance
    -Tim

Fireworms are not very common. That looks like a common Bristleworm and it appears to be dead.

Bristleworm's bore holes in rocks thus making them more porous. I had a 8lb solid rock I put in as a filler rock in my first display tank, and 4yrs later when I moved my rock out, it was 5lbs and full of holes.

Cool. Thanks for the ID. Should I take out the dead worm or will my cleanup crew take care of it? (4 bl Hermits, 1 bumblebee snail, 1 redstripe turbo snail)
The bumblebee seems to be ignoring it right now even though its sitting right next to it, (see pic).

I don't think I have any pods yet. closest I've seen was what looked like a translucent brine shrimp a few weeks ago, but that was just the once.
