Default Funny thing growing on snail shell

Is this thing okay?

It opens and closes up every so often. I've seen something similar before out in the ocean, but not this small.

Sorry about the blurry picture, need a bit more light next time I try to shoot something in the tank.

Alright, didn't think that was a feather duster.

The barnacle we knew about, it was the reason why my wife picked out that snail. Unfortunately didn't actually check at the LFS if there was a snail in it, oh well, it still looks nice, and was not worth the drive back to get one that actually alive.
