black snail (2 cm) white stripe is shell, sometime totally covered. is this reef safe??

most likely a bumblebee snail,but maybe a cerith.bumblebee snails pray on tiny insugnificant worms an stuff and the cerith just eat waste

it could be a keyhole limpet the best snail I think there is for clean glass at night.

It's a Scutus species, and most people consider them to be reef safe. A few have accused them of tasting of their softies, but others claim they never do. There are probably several similar species that show up in reef tanks, so maybe both groups are right.

The Sea Slug Forum - Elephant Slug, Shield Slug, Ducksbill Limpet (Scutus sp.)
