| Baby Starfish? I am completely unsure about this but is this a bay starfish? It was on my glass after I had moved some rock around. The first pick is it by itself, the second is my pinky finger next to it, and the third is a penny. It is tiny but looks just like a starfish. Please tell me what your opinion is, or if you have seen anything like this before. _________ 72G Bowfront, Mag 7 Return, Euro Reef RS-80 Skimmer, Reef Geek Retro T5HO 48"x4, Exhaust Fans, 2 Koralia 4's, 20G Sump Modified, 80 lbs. | there are two different types, one eats corals and the other doesnt. nobody as far as i know, knows how to tell them apart. these starfish are a pest, they dont need another starfish to multiply, they just split in two. the can over take your tank. in my experience its best to rid of them. | There are more than just two types. Many different species inhabit reef aquariums. Try to observe it feeding. |

| A search on WWM says most are harmless but some do chow on SPS. I guess I'm fortunate enough that none of mine eat my coral. |

| Thanks for the info! I was excited when I saw it, now I'm not so sure, I just hope I don't get a huge outbreak of them. Will it get bigger? |
