Yup. Eggs indeed. They'll stick to the glass for a while, unless removed. When it happened in my tank, my banggai cardinals wolfed them down like French Toast after I scraped them off the glass.

They must be very nutritious.

yep eggs, i got lucky and had that happen right at the end of my cycle on my 58g a LONG time ago, had 0 fish in just snails and a few hermits, i dont think i've bought snails for that tank in a few years now and still have to damn many in there
