    [​IMG]I just bought new live rock and I noticed a 6 starred creature, about 1 inch thick on my filter. Now does anyone know what this creature is exactly or if it is harmful??

    Yes that is indeed a harmless brittle star hitch hiker. Since starfish and brittle stars are prone to loosing limbs an ID based on the number of limbs is not always accurate.
