| stopping the siphon well, i guess it is good that this happened now, befor my tank is up, but in the last 4 days i have had 3 power outages :'(
my power is pretty stable normally only out once every 2 years or so, but the idea of finding my room bathed in saltwater is less than appealing
i am looking for a simple reliable solution (cheap would be nice) that does not include drilling glass _________ &&75G AGA mega-flow&&120 lbs CaribSea Reef Sand&&EuroReef ES5-3 skimmer&&2 SmartLamp dual twin-bulb 65W 10K PCs&&29G sump/fuge 2-9W 6700K PC with Mag 7 return&&Won 350W heater&&EHEIM Aquaball&&SWCD fed by a GenX GX2400 |

| | Guest | Re: stopping the siphon Are you talking about the intake being upside down?
On the megaflow tank as this picture shows I personally would not know if it works or not.
Is the output line also under water?
On the intake going to the sump just how far down in the water is that U tube?
And where is your normal water line in the sump?
You could but a couple of check valves and use thoses. | |

| Re: stopping the siphon I think that this is how this setup would work. But I am unsure as I have never used a setup like this.
