| refuge build I am thinking about building a refuge, I have a 65 gal tank, with a wet dry filter with bio balls, and I added a piece of live rock down there. But I am thinking about doing away with the wet dry box and replacing it with a fuge. I just dont know what size fuge i need, any help out there. |

| Post a pic. of your sump. I'd bet we can turn it into a sump/fuge. |

| if you have room in your stand you may be better off to just buy a small 10g tank and set that up as a fuge.
mainly due to you want a very slow flow in the fuge so the plants/macros can do their jobs and remove the nitrates and other baddies _________ 24G JBJ Nano, 20# Live Sand, 40# Live Rock

| From my understanding, if its going to be the main filteration, it should be 10-15% of the DT. If its going to be an add on(like mine) it could be a 5 or 10 gal tank. | It is not a bad thing that a fuge is over size if its what space youve got, ie: wet dry chamber , you can just tee off your main supply to the wet dry and place a ball valve in line to direct the correct volume to the fudge |
