Thanks again birdlady for talking me into this project..this part wasn't TOO bad and seems to be working pretty well.

Thanks, the baffles section was a PITA as I didn't have an easy way to get the silicon down in between the 1in baffle space so I had to put the silicon on the glass, then smush the acrylic into it and hope it held..which it seems to be doing just fine at this point. I really need to set up a auto top off and also a shut off would be a nice idea too, to avoid burning up my mag 9.5 if something goes wrong..water is evaporating faster than I expected and the sump section is much smaller than i'd like it to be...wish I had gone with a bigger display tank so I could fit a larger sump/refug. oh well
