| My new Skimmer Hello,
I am new to this forum so i thought I would begin with posting some of my work.
This is my latest DIY skimmer.
Its a Recirculating Threadwheel built around the counter-current principle as posed by P.R. Escobal. I really wanted a CC that got maximum dwell time but I didn't want to build a 8ft tall skimmer. This skimmer is powered by a heavly modified Resun King pump with a threadwheel impeller using 5 layers of heat flattened PK5 Enkatmat. I will have some solid number for it as soon as my Dwyer arrives next week.
Heres more eyecandy.
And a video of the operation YouTube - DIY Threadwheel Skimmer
Feel free to ask questions
Thanks
Scott |

| Right now I only have a 180 display and a 30 frag system. This skimmer was built with my new 450 woody in mind. Were in the process of moving right now and that will have to wait until were in the new house to be setup. |

| Great skimmer!
Looks like you have a lot of bubbles in there.
Where do you get Enkatmat? |
