| i have a 15 gallon refugium under my 75 that drains into the sump. you could have a refugium next to the 75 in a cabinet with front doors to hide the refugium and run the lines in behind it into the sump.
_________
just one little sps frag tank with lots of goodies |

| On a 75 all I'd do is find about a 5 gallon bucket or little 5.5 gallon tank and set it under the tank above the sump all you need is about 5 to 7 gls. Simple rule of thumb is bigger is not always better or needed I have found that a fuge that is 1/10th the size of the supported system and then flow about 1/10th of the fuges water volume through the fuge works perfectly.. Remember a refugium is a simple garden and to feed it there has to be a given amount of nitrogen and ammonias and Nitrates And if you have more garden then fertilizers then the garden does not do very well. _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |

But I always feed my sumps and refugiums by gravity then if the main pump on the sump shuts down then all flows shut down then the refugium just dribble into the sump until that has reached it's predetermined level by where the drainage bulkhead was drilled into it. Its all gravity to the sump. then pumped back up to the main tank.. How do you get water from the tank to the sump now ? |

| I've red abou Convey's DIY pipe overflow. I will try to build it ... We shall see! I'm quite positive now. The can fit 10"x10"x20" bucket/aquarium in my cabinet! That sucks ... |

| Do you not have room behind your tank for a HOB overflow box? Like this? http://www.thekrib.com/Filters/Sasala/Fig220.gif
The ones like that with the U-Tube are bomb! They don't lose their siphon/prime during a power outage. I'm using mine on my refugium right now to filter back down into my sump. Before that it was on my 46 gallon which I upgraded and now my display has a built in overflow. _________ 125 Gal Reef.
