Has anyone plumbed a hexagonal tank before?

Anyone have any pictures of a hexagonal tank that's plumbed? I'd like to plumb mine but i'm kinda looking for ideas and I didn't find many in the photos section. I guess i'm mostly just wondering on hole placement.

I'm down to drill. I need to measure again to be sure but i'm thinking each pane is 10.5". I guess my goal in the end would be the either only plumb two panes or less ideally find some manner of discreetly plumbing three.

Is each pane 10.5" high or 10.5" wide?

If you can, I would try to keep all the plumbing to one pane of glass, just for aesthetics.

It would be my preference to keep them on the same pane as well but i'm worried about driving 3 holes in the same pane of glass so close to each other. Made a mistake when I was reading my notes earlier and quoted the aquariums base specs on accident. The aquarium itself is 24" deep 11.5" per pane and 20 1/4" across the top (between parallel panes). Thinking 1" bulkheads with 2 drain lines and 1 return line so i'm looking at 3 holes I guess.

    Thank you for the specs.

A 1" bulkhead actually requires a 1 and 3/4" hole for the bulkhead to fit. And your return will probably be a 1/2" line, so that would require a 1 and 1/2" hole. That's 5" when you add the diameters together. 6.5" would be left over, allowing 1.625" between each hole (and the panes next to this one) in the back pane. I think that should work.

Thanks for that seano. All three should be in a straight line, correct?

Sure. Yeah, all in a line.
