Default Gonna try this mod on my system

HI,
This would help prevent any air buildup in the lift tubes of your overflow to prevent flooding if you miss a day or two.
Anyone try this ,,

Click Below for LINK>>>

DIY Overflow Box

I already have one on a auto refil for the water system that has a switch that cycles when the water level drops a bit I'll add a second lift pump two the same circuit to remove any air in the two over flow tubes. this should help with power outages and any air bubble accumaltions in my lift tubes.

You are going to want a durso on the "large specimen box" instead of the elbow it will drastically reduce the noise. & a 3/4 inch U tube will provide a max of 450 gph. (just fyi)

Is the modification the addition of the airline tubing at the apex of the utube?

You can just simply use a one-way check valve for the fix.
Use the one-ways you would use on an air bubbler line.
Drill a hole into the top of the tube and glue it in place.
It will automatically seal once the air is out.

Good luck, Maximo

I have a continuous siphon overflow box. It came with a lifter pump, but I found that it wasn't powerful enough. I still had an air pocket at the top of the overflow. I had a powerhead(400) nearby for circulation and I ran the tubing to that instead and now it works like a charm. These overflow boxes sold for $80-$100 on the web and I found it on ebay for $35 + $12 shipping.
