do I need to seal or paint my stand?

    I just got done building a in wall tank stand and was wondering if I need to paint it or seal it somehow before I set the tank in place.
    Thsnks for your help

    Nice build!
    I would seal it just to be safe. Urithane isn't that expensive and knowing that it will be protected is worth it. But thats just me.

    +1 Sealing would definitely be a good idea. ;)

    I would probably use a fast drying polyurethane like Min wax. It dries fairly quickly and you can add as many coats as you want.;)You could use a latex sealer like Kilz2 but you would probably want to put a coat of paint over it like an enamel which will take longer and be more expensive.

    Just be sure to read the information regarding curing time for whatever product you decide on. Curing time and drying time are two different things.Good luck.Great build by the way. Love inwall tanks!!;D8)

    Thanks again got the stand and wall sealed up think me and my family may have got a little silly off the fumes tried to open doors and window to air out but since its winter time made it a little hard to do:)
