| DIY Surface skimming power head. Another ghetto mod. Basicly a powerhead fliped upsided with a half a soda bottle glued on with slits and a pice of carbon mesh to strain it. I got tied of seeing all the surface scum so I built this. I am going to build something like this for my remora. It will work until I get the surface skimming attachment next payday. _________ Senior Noob Setting my 75 back up soon Main SW Tank:

| Here is what I came up with last night Works great. I had a broken Seaclone 100 so I took the center tube out. Closed the bottom, drilled a hole that the PH tube fit into toward the bottom and lined the top with an old magnum hot center screen, cut and cable tied to fit. It's in a 20 cube. |

| What are the noise levels like on these highly technical inventions?I've got an old Jebo 180 hang on skimmer that I could adapt but SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED can't handle the sound of trickling water. It does bad things to her bladder apparently. |
