All you need to do is run a refugium with chaeto algae in it, run the light cycle opposite of your DT. You'll have pods forever...

In my fuge is quite simple, rock rubble, chaeto, and light... Very little flow to allow time for chaeto to absorb nitrates, and a safe non turbulant breeding ground for the pods...

Hey let me ask you, did you just drop the pads in the refuge? That was the PITA gettin those little guys outta there! I spent hours going through each piece taring the pads apart and separating the pods into a separate container - was fun

I second the Ebay deal.
I have a ball of
Chaeto inside of one of those plastic lids that API test kits come in. Kinda my in tank refugium hiding in the back. That's suppose to be their home base , but there are thousands in the tanks now. Mostly babies you can barely see. The ones from Ebay are huge. ..amphis and copes. At night they're all over the glass.

I put the whole sponge thing in my tank for about a week. Eventually I picked them out and didn't see much life in there.

that's what i did, i ordered that and seed my fuge with it. how can you tell what is pod? i shine my light in there at night and cant seem to figure out what is what. i have 1 six line and yellow banana wrasse they could be the one that eating it. i've running like that for around 3 months now. i have a massive ball of cheato in the sump, with live rock, some sponge and about 4 inches of sand, i got alot of sea squirt in my return area, dont really know how to indentify what pods looks like at night.

well dealing with pods for years, the stuff we buy on ebay like I said on the blue and white pads are filled with microscopic life... The adults breed inside the pads... They say 1000 pods... There are way more than that. If you see a bunch of adults thats great... But dont bother picking them out... throw those pads in the fuge for a while until you start to see life all over your tank. The best way to do this a week or so later get a flash light at night and just look around, look at the corners of your glass, in rocks, etc...
