Canopy/Stand "cooling" Solution

Came up with the following idea for cheap/easy "cooling"/"venting" solution for both new canopy and sump compartment currently under construction.

Ordered 4 large size computer CPU fans from KD computers

Sunon 120mmx25mm 4 -wire 90CFM
Part: 550-002 Price: $11.00 ea.
Sunon ball bearing 120mm x 25mm- 4 wire. 90 CFM 44.5 dBA 3100 RPM

Hook up to old computer power supply mounted in sump area and away you go. (fans are 12v DC) Connectors to fans and power supply are standard. Single power supply can run all four (2 in canopy - 2 in sump area)

Cutting holes in sides of canopy and stand to mount. Plenty of grill covers to choose from on site. (some very fancy - and others available elsewhere, just "google" - "cpu fan covers"

Getting really fancy, can connect "power supply" to in line thermostat so they run only when needed...

Some additional notes on above:

Any 12v DC power supply will work (Radio Shack ?) - just make sure enough amps to run # of fans in use - I just had the computer powersupply's laying about which I had cannibalized off some old computers at work. - They have the advantage of electrical connectors all in place to fit fans so no additional wiring needed (depending on size of stand/canopy)

Again, lots of really nice fan "grills" available to cover those unsightly holes in stand/canopy sides.

For best air flow, fan on one side should blow in, other side out.

If "prebuilt" hood (like my coralsealife "moonlite&quot going inside canopy - don't restrict air flow from existing hood fans - could result in light meltdown or worse) - am opening outlets for them also in canopy sides...

omard, how big of a pw supply did you use. i was curious what's the smallest supply one can use w/ 4 or more fans.
