    If the bulb wattage is the same. The ballast will usually say on it how many of what types of bulbs they will run. I'm also assuming that the t5 bulbs are not high output t5's (or T5HO).

    havent got any yet.i got an arcadia unit and didnt know if changing the end caps would allow for t5s??:-/

    It may or it may not.

    I wish I could be of more help, but I think it might not work. There are only a few "universal" ballasts out there that light every kind of fluorescent. Workhorses are one of them.

    Give it a shot, but try used t5 bulbs first so you don't ruin new ones.
