Hi. I want to know what is the proper amount of water that should be changed weelky on a 40 gallon tank with 3 fantails in it. I also have a 15 gallon with 1 fantail. Thanks Mike

general rule of thumb is 10% weekly so about 4 gallons a week for the 40 and 1.5 gal for the 15.

I changed about 15% in my 30 gallon with 2 goldfish, but 10% is about average for a weekly water change as long as your fish are doing ok and the tests are good.
