Default What's the best inline pump?

I posted in ASAP, but I'm needing to get a pump(s) ordered soon so thought I'd post here also. I need to get a super reliable 5000+gph inline pump soon and am looking for opinions on which are the best. Thanks.

I am running 2 hammer heads on my tank. One is the return and the other is for a closed loop. Very nice pumps. I would have to say they are pretty quite for pushing that amount of water

I never owned one but a guys I buy frags from in my club has one at 5x the flow it was quieter than the gen-x pump he had on the system too. It was only warm to the touch. The only downside I could see is that they are fricken hugh. If your trying to cram everything in a cabnet it might be a problem. Other than that they seemed pretty sweet.

No problem there. It's for an inwall 240 with a back room as the access. Wish I had known about these before. I had her order quiet ones from fostersmith and basically aboiut every electrical item from them has had a curse on it. has two brand new 300wt visi-therm heaters blow-apart just last month from Fostersmith. If I hadn't of heard the buzzing noise in the sump before putting my hand in I wouldn't be replying right now I imagine.
I'm sure it couldn't be bad electrical items they are selling, but what the heck is going on? The quiet ones are not more than a few monthjs old and have gone out almost at the same time.
Anyway, time to try a new seller and I think the 1 pump moving that much water would be better than trying to get 2 more. Thanks again.

The 300W Visi-Therm I owned exploded after a month too. It was in a tub of water change water got the tank half full of RO water plugged in the heater about ten minutes after POP and underwater electrical sparks! It cracked in half and shot the second half of the glass tube off about 4in. Piece of crap with a meaningless warranty.
