However, my biggest problem was a wife who was not only Bi-Polar, she also had Early-Onset Schizophrenia. She got mad that I had to stay out of town an extra two days so she bleached every single tank and killed all those poor innocent animals. She also killed about $4,000 worth of bonsai trees. I finally divorced her last March and I felt so relieved....for about 2 weeks. Then I broke my whole body.
Sorry to hear that. Ive also had experience with schizophrenia, but its one of my siblings whom i love to death, so i definately cant divorce

As far as the tank goes, i used to have it in the billiard/entertainment room which has its own set of electrical panels (in the room). When i went down to feed the fish, i found that the power had been cut off for almost 24 hours in the dead of winter. Water was ice cold, and everything died

I now have the tank in my room so that i can keep a close eye on it. Also, i have a 1500watt ($500) UPS in case the power ever cuts again.

_________

65 Gallon
Eheim Wet/Dry Bio Filter
Eheim Mechanical Filter

Tunze Nano DOC Skimmer 9002
3 Fish (True Purc Clown, Naso Tang, Purple Tang)
5 pieces Live Rock (3 Mushrooms, 2 rhodactis hairy mushroom)

Huum I have been pretty fortunate I did way back in the mid 70's a company called Nectonics who was the state of the art marine suppliers at that time actually the only supplier came out with a instant marine tank (: {Biozonic} No cycling no waiting add the freeze died bacteria today and fish in 24 hrs. I used it and it worked as advertised I thought. I had a Red sea Emperor in it and it was beautiful fish A Henicious and a Butterfly went to work one morning came home and all was belly up.. I added them slowly over about 3 to 4 weeks and it went south at about 6 weeks ):
In-wall I feel your pain , I set my son up with a nice little reef and his crazy wife got pissed he had to work over one night and poured Liquid soap into the tank.. About 4,000 down the drain It was full of LPS and softs and a few sps also. I totally under stand you being broken up also ): Been there and still wear that T shirt. But in the reality of life a fish tank is a simple problem at most..
