| A.R.M. Calcium Reactor Media
Is what I use for media. That type of CO2 regulator is exactly what I am using. Once you set this up you will wonder why people alway shy away from these...they are simple to run. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| I have that same regulator in the basement now and its about 15 yrs old and still clicking along the needle valve messed up last fall Called Milwaukee in N.C and they sent me a new valve /bubble counter sight glass out with in 3 days I had it no charge!
ARM is as good of media as any I've ever used.. as a really high element count dissolves really nice and evenly also... It works for me. My levels stay rock steady. But its just takes a few weeks to dial it or them in.. _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |

| Yes it will work. That is how I used to run mine until I fired up my skimmer. I didn't want any pump submerged, all of mine are external. The hose that you run to the reactor will only be the 1/4" ID regular RO/DI hose. I come off of a 1" line and reduce down to 3/4" at the T then down to 1/4" before the reactor. |

| That sounds good, I have mine plumbed with 3/4" so it will be easy. How much A.R.M media do you need? Is it more than a gallon or a gallon should do?Also does the reactor have a hole for the ph probe?
Thanks for the help and I am closer to pulling the trigger. |

| I have filled my reactor twice and used about 1/3 of the gallon container, it will last you a while. You will not be sorry on the Lighthouse controller. For the money it is great. If you have a network at home all you need to do is give it an IP address behind your firewall and your set. Took me about 10 minutes to get it online and from the looks of your user ID you should have no problems with computers... |
