I am brown, I close up when you touch me and I look like a type of filter feeder.....here is my pic.....what am I?  _________  I Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date Started 9/04 58 gallon Oceanic Tank, 20 gal DIY sump/fuge w/ Kent Marine Auto top-off, Air Water Ice RO/DI, 10,000 K 175 W MH, 2 VHO 03's 96W each, AquaC EV 120 Skimmer
80 lbs LR, DSB in FUGE, 1 - 2 " LS in tank
Black Brittle Star, Chevron Tang, Crocea Clam, red & green Lobophyllia, Frogspawn, Porites Frag, Caulastrea Frag, Green Ricordia, Asst. Zoas, hermits, astreas, stomatellas, fighting conch |

OH you meant the thing in your tank..... 
That's an ugly looking thing, But it does look like a bivalve of some sort But I've been looking for 1/2 an hour and I have to clean Birdy cage now. Sorry I'll look some more tomorrow

Oh yeah, it's is funky looking to be sure! Bivalve eh? That includes clams right? Are sponges in that family? Don't go crazy looking....cause I have ...... 
I was just wondering, that's all! It obviously needs no special care because it is growing without any! | |

I retired the reef for now. Maybe a nano or a softies tank in the future when I have both time and money. 60 gallon FOWLR in the meantime. My echidna nebulosa are still going strong! | |

All right! Are you guys tryin to trip me out? All I can find on bivalves relates to clams, oysters, mussels, etc. This is not any of those! anyone have a link? Am I losin my mind here?
