| "Well I did it" As in the title "I did it" . I recently put up a post regarding a 125 gal tank my LFS had for sale, if your interested it's called 125 gal.
My wife and I discussed it for some time and decided to go for it. We'll be setting up everything on Sat & Sun and having a great time doing it also, this is our time spent togather as we work seperate shifts and spend time togater on weekends only.
I was kind of surprised at the very small responce to my last post about the purchase,I thought there would have been a greater amount of replys and info for the new peeps in the hobby, but there was nothing I'd expected. The thought of forums being helpful must have past me by somewhere.
Well as for now and in the future I'll just have to seek and put all my trust into my LFS. And not some internet provided forum. |

| Re: "Well I did it" Congrats on your new purchase! It's nice to see your wife likes the tank and enjoys spending the time over the week end.
I am confused by the attitude though, what were you expecting? I thought Omar gave his opinion nicely and to be honest your comments in this posts are hurtful to a really nice guy. I have not had alot of time in the last few weeks and look at the posts, I haven't had many in any topic. I guess you wanted to be talked out of the purchase or what? As far as advice from a lfs go for it I support good lfs in my area and don't buy online for this reason. I don't want to see the lfs go away. I believe you have been answered on other posts promptly and politely so if you are unsatisfied now by all means move on you have not paid to be here and no one is paying you to be here so whats the loss? I like this site for it's lack of arrogance/ignorance and the patiance many memebers and moderaters have. If your opinion is different by all means go. I like many others here have posted things that didn't get the response I thought it would on the same hand I have seen posts that just take off and everyone chimes in thats called life. Any way congrats on the tank and good luck. _________ Starting over with a 210 RR from All Glass, Lifereef Berlin sump, skimmer (installed) and calcium reactor (ordered). Aquatraders Catalina 72" 3x400 mh 10 k/4x96 watt blue PC, Closed Loop with Little Giant 4MDQX-SC and 2- 3/4 Seaswirls. |

| Re: "Well I did it" I agree with phil. _________ &&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck. |

I must admit I have been busy also. I saw the post but thought it was to much money but I would have to see it first before saying anything.
Hope your feeling are not hurt to bad.

| Re: "Well I did it" lol @ typical sibling sydrome, wow...strike up a little sarcasim and attenion galore,I see if you're in the loop here then you're not in at all, kind of reminds me high school with all it's little clicks. But then I've been out of that for over 30 years.
And as for too much money,I'd love to smoke what your smoking, the light alone is 1K, then add 125lbs of LR,
Sand,LS, a RedSea Berlin Skimmer, 2 heaters, 2 Maxi Jet 1200's a Mag7 return pump, 2600 pump, 30gal sump,WaveMaster Pro, Kent Marine RO,plus tank and stand. Too Much Money? Tank, light, rock and sand is that. What do you pay for LR a lb?
Advice from here I must have made a mistake.
Sorry to All Whom have really helped me in the short past.

N2S I did say I would have to see this setup. Sounds like you have a bone to pick and anyone who does comment will be blasted. I do think alittle decaf will help ya out alittle. " on't worry be happy" the sibling thing was a joke take it with a grain of salt it was nothing. In the LOOP! now thats a funny one.
If you thought this was a good setup already then why post questions about it? If it is great in your mind it really does not matter what anyone else thinks anyway! Right?
Stick around if you like but don't get all ruffled up if someone does not post to your questions. If needing an answer quick PM one of us. | |
