Thats what i got w/package. crappy RIO HF1700 died on me 2 weeks ago and been using the mag 7 from my skimmer(poor thing) for return pump. i ended up getting the Mag 18.replumbed the whole return system to to make up for increase in volume (dual outlets). Im wondering if should have gone bigger? Mag 24?

Yes, the old style rio's do suck BUT the SEIO pumps by Rio work very well.

Well, is this water all traveling through your sump? Or this a closed loop set-up? Generally you don't want that much water blowing through your sump UNLESS it is of substantial size.

For a closed loop...get as much as you can!

its a 135g w dual overflow box,(20g sump and 40g fuge) one going to the sump the other to a fuge then from the fuge to the sump via another overflow box.
