Default wavemaker2 vs ocean motions 4 way

I am setting up a 100 48x18x31 for all types of corals and a few fish and an anemone or two. I am using 2 220 volt 400 watt 14k mh's . I have a corner overflow. I just ordered an ampmaster 2800. I am using a 700 gph magdrive for my airstone pwered skimmer which I will occasionally use ozone. I am trying to decide on either a wavemaher2 or an Ocean Motion 4 or 8 way. I am new to the hobby after a 20 year hiatus! Help!!!! Also, I am going to put a calcium reactor with a redundant back up, do I need a Kalkwasser?
Thanks for any help I can get.

I use a Ocean Motion and love it. I done all the engineering up from on the tank and layed out the four valves so that I never see cords or powerheads in the tank. All my plumbing except for right beside the OF is hidden from view in the rocks. Should be a no brainer....OM all the way!

Ocean Motion is a great Product and backed with amazing customer support. I have a 4 way and love it.

I'm not a 100% sure what the Wavemaker 2 is but I believe it is a timer devise that turns power heads on and off in a preset pattern like a Wavemaker Pro.
These are 2 very different ways of moving water around.
The OM 4 way or 8 way is a closed loop devise used to divert water to several outlets were as the wavemaker allows you to modify the location of each power head and still have a wave effect.

It takes a lot of planning when using the OM, there is more at stake when the flow you thought would work doesn't. Were as the Wavemaker is easy as changing the location of a Power head

hope this sheds some light.

you forgot to mention the fact that you can hide all of the plumbing. Nobody will ever know there is any plumbing to the tank when done right.

+2 on that one! Man it sure makes a tank look nice and clean.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Here is a link to the wavemaker? WAVE2K!

I'm not sure of it's real name. It also would hide the plumbing. It seems to make sense, I am just not sure if it will move enough in the middle of the tank.

Now that makes some sense. I tried to Google a wavemaher2 and found nothing. There are a few on here that run Wave2K's and like them, but they do take up some real-estate though. If you engineer it right with a OM then you will have a pleasant view in your tank without objects hanging in it. JMO
