I used to have 2 great guys at different stores. But one was let go and the other one moved to another store that doesn't have the flexibility that his old store had.
I haven't been to a LFS in over a month. Well that's not 100% true I was in one Sunday to buy food but didn't even look at anything. I'm moving in 2 weeks and don't need anything more to worry about

Mass Market Retailers(Petco PetSmart): Hah yeah right they don't know squat!
Local Seed and Feed Store/pet store/fish store/tiny saltwater selection, nuf said
Only decent LFS for saltwater still give bad advice and still has a mark up TWICE over mailorder!
Screw 'em!
I'll take Captive Reefs and Premium Aquatics anyday over those goofballs. | |

Well....considering that I'm the LFS girl, I have to vote that I'm cool!! I always give people the info straightforward. Sometimes they don't like what they here, but I always give the best advice. Then you have the customers who say..."well, the other LFS said to do it this way". My answer is to go on the internet and read!! Form your own opinion. I've recommended 3Reef many, many times. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way, too. Like the girl who wanted to set up a tank..I told her each step to take. She came back a week later and said she had added clowns and anemones to her new tank, as well as several inverts. I gave my advice...she didn't like it. Next thing you know she's whining that everything died....Wonder why?? And of course the best people are the ones who get PO'd because you tell them that they can't put Nemo in that little goldfish bowl with table salt added to the water....lol... _________   | |
