| Upgrading finally... Well yesterday I took down my nano cube. Haven't had the best luck with fish lately and started having the small tank blues . I will be setting up a tank in my basement, flushed into the wall.. I would like something over a 100, but it will most likely be at least a 75gl. Any suggestions for setting up my new tank would be greatly appreciated. Like ideas on pumps, heater, lighting, and amt of live rock for a 75 etc. Already miss my nano tank, but it helps knowing I'm getting a bigger one in January... Thanks.baugherb |

| What is your budget for this tank????
A 180g tank is about the best tank to set up as a reef. You have plenty of room with the tank being deep as well as long. You will also be able to have some of the more prettier Tangs because most of them enjoy swimming alot, plus they eat algae... Fish for a purpose! _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| Well otty, my better half cringes at the thought of a 75. I might be able to squeeze out a 110 with some covert operations. I would like my budget to start out at a 1,000 I know it ain't much. But with 3 kids and xmas. things are tight.....

| Whichever way you chose to go in terms of size of the tank, make sure that you do some beneficial planning of the overall system. Draw a layout of the rock set-up, types of coral you would like to keep, kinds of fish you would like to house. Based on this info, you can then begin to answer the other questions as far as lighting, skimmer size etc. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F.
