Turbulence and Flow (How much is too much?)

Wow, just spent the last while cleaning my power heads. I changed the direction and height of my return lines and then repositioned the power heads from where they were. This configuration is stirring the tank much more vigorously.
Question: how much turbulence can a leather take before IT becomes stressed?

Some of mine take quite a bit others dont like it at all I have one thats 18 inches around and loves flow and one next to it that hates it it only opens its polyps after the waves break. when the pumps turn off at night till morning.
