Default Transfering tank contents

I guess its no big surprise when someone says that they are thinking about upgrading!!! I currently have a 95 gallon, and have a naso tang. I figured that i woudl upgrade a few years down the line when she satrted to get a little larger. From my recent readings, it appears that they get very mentally stressd by a small tank which does not help their health. So I figure i need at least a 6 footer. Im probobly going to go with a 240; 72x30x24. So my questions are: what are the best ways to transfer everything?
Can the live sand be transfered? or shall i just take a several scoops and add it to new sand in the new tank. If i transfer the live rock, do i still need to cycle the tank? can anyone outline the steps that would be best to follow. I kow that there are loadsa people out there that have faced the same issues. what worked for you.cheers

If you don't have to go too long between transfers, I would just put your existing rock in then add new sand and seed it with a cup or so of the sand from your "old" system. You can definitely expect a mini cycle because no matter how careful you are, you will have some die off on the rock during the transfer. Nothing to stress about though. Good luck and karma to you. Let us know how you do.
