Alot of corals are considered "illegal" because they're endangered. Some of these corals are found in the Bahamas, Florida, Australia, etc.

Illegal corals? Im curious what the guy could get. Stonies are the only ones illegal in the carribean, Acropora Florida being one of them, but they are being farmed now so its just illegal to collect them from the wild, not to have them. The other illegal corals in the carribean are only illegal in protected areas such as marine reserves etc. As of last year, Australian corals are no longer illegal. I looked into that myself. They heavily regulated though. A good portion of these "Australian" corals on the market now, came from Indonesia which is on the other side of the great barrier reef.
