| Re: Tips on taking pictures of tank? Yes Jason, I was talking about Travis. I haven't met him yet but I looking forward to when I can get together with him for a photo lesson.
You have an awful lot of cameras. I don't know that I would worry about a digital slr when you have such nice cameras that do a good job. However when you do decide to get one it will be nice that you can make use of the lenses you already have.

| Re: Tips on taking pictures of tank? I figured you did more than just playing with the cameras! I'll be looking forward to hearing what other tips you might have for us.
My husband used to have his own dark room and stuff but when he moved back to E.Texas he kind of got away from it due to the lack of room. He still loves the camera though and being the gadget person that he is he has way too many cameras. He'll sometimes say that he thought it was something that I would like.-yea right! Just like the lap top computer that he just bought ME. I've hardly even gotten to use it plus I didn't even need it or want it to begin with so now he has two lap top computers. Bless his little heart!
He does a lot of digital imaging in his dental practice so patients can see how they would look with whiter teeth or a new smile. Where E. Texas is concerned just having some teeth would be nice! |

Use the Macro Feature if you have one......it lets the camera focus automatically at very close range. (check my gallery, I have pics of 2 Bettas using Macro) [/quote]
Hi Birdlady! I really like the close up pics of your bettas and they have such pretty coloration. I will need to get a lens where I can do that or else swipe the lens that my husband uses at the office for his befores and afters . I think its a 105 DC or something like that.
Also Birdlady, you have a very beautiful daughter! I'm sure she takes after you! [smiley=angel.gif]

| Re: Tips on taking pictures of tank? Jason, you and birdlady has given us good info in this thread. Is there a way to get the computer to copy just the one post? I know when I have tried before I wind up getting the whole thread printed and I'd like to be able to just print the posts that are the most helpful to me.

| Re: Tips on taking pictures of tank? @Cindy - you can use your mouse and click and drag over that post to select it. Then right click and choose copy. Then paste that into a word doc or notepad by right clicking and choosing paste or use ctrl + v keys.
At the top of every thread, there is a print link that makes it easier to print by stripping out graphics. YOu can also hit the favorite link up there to add this thread to your favorites list. Then you can always find it by clicking the favorite link in the lower left nav afterwards.
