Damsels need to go in towards last...never had problem with 4 in my tank...two yellowtails, 2 stripped Humbugs...
I have been very lucky ("dumb luck" ) with fish in my tank over the years. I am still in kind of a quandary about my Snowflake eel. I really kind of like him, but habit of eating shrimp is getting kind of hard to live with. Has cleaned out my peppermints and camelbacks...but does not seem to bother skunk cleaner and fire/blood shrimp. As long as it leaves those alone, I think I will be happy with him.
Only other questionable character I added intentionally was a arrow crab, early on. - big mistake. Got big quick and became danger to my fish which were quite small at time. Also liked to shred feather dusters.
Have unintentionally added some other nasty beasties...gorilla crab, sundial snails, some other kind of little nuisance snail (which my wrasses finally cleaned out) and asterinas that came along as hitchhikers...(asterinas not really "nasty" but a real nuisance at times) _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)

| Theres only one fish that comes to mind right now and he was a Key Hole Angel fish. WHAT A S.O.B. he was. Had all my corals looking like chit.
The other one that Im torn about is my Eng. Goby. Great looking fish that looks like an eel but has eaten all my peppers and my paired Harlyquin Shrimp. Like I have said before, the only angels that I like are in heaven. lol

I would not think any tank complete without a Coral Beauty...love mine.
Although not readily appearing so, is dominant fish in tank. Unlike any other fish, can go anywhere even in Maroon and Damsel territory.
Has no bad habits I have ever discerned...other then playing "chase the damsel" now and then (which is really all in fun.)

Repost: Guardian Angel
When adding my sixline to tank a few months ago, my pack of damsels (2 black striped Humbug Dyclus, 2 blue yellow tail) immediately pounced upon it and began chasing it about tank. Whereupon my Coral Beauty, stepped in and fended them off the poor sixline. It would circle the new fish then chase off any of the damsels trying to approach it. The Coral Beauty did this for day or so until the damsels tired of their game.
Exactly the same scenario happened again when I added my Flame Wrasse. The Coral Beauty defended it till the damsels gave up.
I did not tell anyone about this observation, thinking others would think I'm crazier then I already am.
But this is God's truth...saw with my own eyes!
But recent poster here, reported same event in his tank. (Guardian Angel?)
Got me wondering is this a characteristic of other Angels?...Could this be the reason someone named them "angels" in the first place way back when?
I wonder what the innate instinct a fish could have for defending another species?

| Had a coral beauty and loved it all but it stayed hid a lot so I traded him for a flame angel, and he was a SOB too. Tried bulling my yellow tang till it set him straight. |

Perhaps he leaves the cleaner and fire shrimp alone due to the cleaning services that they offer? _________ You will never know whats in my tank as i can only type 15 words |

Scott | I had one many yrs ago and had a positive exp with it, but ever since the Key Hole, I stay away from any fish that has "angel" at the end of its name. Luna |
