| Re: Tang and Flame Angel Behavior No nothing like that...the guy at TropiQuatics in Lombard, IL was just being cautious with me. Boy I love those guys! Of the 4 shops I've visited they are by far the most helpful and honest. |

| Re: Tang and Flame Angel Behavior Your wet/dry could be a nitrate factory. Might wanting to think of getting rid of the mediaand use just for circulation. |

| Re: Tang and Flame Angel Behavior I'm sorry I don't get it. What traps the particles then? Also water tests: sg 8.2, nitrites 20, nitrates 0, ammonia 0 |

| Re: Tang and Flame Angel Behavior Your skimmer will remove dissolved solids. *
I believe your pH is 8.2, but the nitrites are in the toxic range for inverts (crabs, snails, etc,) if your reading is correct. *With ammonia at 0 I would suspect that that is your nitrate reading. *What test kit are you using?
I have removed all sponge media from my tanks and the nitrates are way down, water clear as a bell. *I scrape the glass and turkey baste the detritus from the rocks when I clean and the skimmer skims it away from the water column. |

| Re: Tang and Flame Angel Behavior I use the FasTest master kit. I'll remove the sponge media from the wet/dry filter. How about the canister vac? No inverts in the tank. |
