Default Sumpless SPS tank anyone?

I am building 75 gallon tank and was wondering if there are any successful sumpless sps tanks out there and if so what are your specs?

I have in mind to use Octopus HB300 HOB skimmer with Two Koralia 3 along with LR for filtration, flow and skimming. TX5 for lighting. The Octopus skimmer will come with surface skimmer or I will aim the Koralia toward surface for air/gas exchange.

Media or Phosban remover will be placed inside chamber of Octopus HOB Skimmer. No Calcium Reactor, just two part dosing.

Hey!

I'm also running 75gal without sump. However, in my case I'm populating my tank with fish and soft frags. Hmmm... Could you give me a link or any kind of reference to SPS tank that was successful and sumpless ?! I like the concept of the sump/refugium and think it can be much more cheaper in the longer run than any sophisticated form of filtration. I'm running right now two Eheim filters: 2227 wet/dry and 2213 (chemical filtration: Matrix/AntiNitrate/PhosGuard). I'm also using Deltec MCE 500 internal skimmer.

Cheers and good luck!

From another user, use Tunze Reefpack 500. This unit includes Tunze 9005 protein skimmer, surface skimmer, auto top-off and mechical filtration all for 24 watts. Check out Tunze website. This looks like good fit to try sumpless tank.

I've got a 55gal with thriving montipora digita colonies, if that counts. All I have is a DSB, a Prizm Delux skimmer, 4 MaxiJet 1200 powerheads (2 on wave timer), and a few T-5 HO lights. I also recently acquired a "green" acro staghorn, although at this stage in the game it's still pretty brown. I'm not sure if it's from the DSB or the light.
