|  sump vs Fluval 204
I have a fluval 204 on my 20 tall with a sump. My question, is it a good idea to have both on the tank or one? If so which of the two is the bests to have the fluval or the sump?
I was thinking of keeping the fluval and changing the 10 gal sump over to a sick tank or a sponge tank. |

My personal preference would be to keep the sump. There is alot of room for up-grading your system with the sump. Turning a small section into a refugium, hiding equipment etc. . If you are happy with the combo or, just the canister and it's doing the job. Then leave it alone. | |

I would go for the sump

a friend gave it to me a few month back, he had it on his 90 gal salt tank. so i really don't know what he has in it i will crack it open and see what is inside | |

Keep the fluval for your carbon/biomax/phosphate removers. I've found it's easy to maintain them in there, and they get flow pumped directly through the media. _________  | |

I was thinking,( am still 50/50). I still have to get overflow and the return pump, I was thinking of putting that money with some more and get a stronger light ( T5 or T6) and keep the fluval, what are your input on that idea?
also
I plan on have about 30lb of liverock. | |
