Default Starting Over

Ok, well where do I start, The local power company decided to do some maint. and shut off our power for almost 9 hours. IN that time, almost every living thing in my tank died. The only things to survive were my aptasia and a ton of pods. I have tested the water and made sure that my params are still good. and I have made a trip to the lfs to get some peppermint shrimp to work on the aptasia. However the guy that I had been working with bringing salt water to my area, well he closed shop and left. So I guess what I am askin is, is there anyone who has some frags for sale? I would gladly pay for shipping and anything reasonable. Now as for what kind of frags, I really have NO clue. I guess I am looking for something that is semi-hardy and looks good. THanks in advance for everyone who reads this. Once again looks like I am starting over

Ask Tangster, he runs a coral farm and has all kinds of nice pieces.
Might want to think about getting a cheap generator to just keep pumps running.

And I second getting small generator before investing lots of $ in livestock and having the same thing happening again.

I have the generator now. This will never happen again to me. Ok, seems like one of my rocks that had polyps on it seems to be doing ok. Now it has something else growing on it. I am going to try to post a picture that has this new thing growing on it. Any idea what this is? the picture might be blurry, sorry for that. It looks like a leaf of lettuce to me. please help.

Had something similar happen to me about 6 weeks after I started the tank. Power went out for 13 hours. I was lucky, though, and the temperature didn't vary much and all was okay. But, during those 13 hours, I could think of little else = survival! It sucks and I'm sorry it happened to you.

That sucks as it is one of your worst fears...power failures for an extended period of time.
As for your picture... it looks like a type of Xenia(soft coral)!
