Funny you say that since that is actually next on my shopping list. Everything in my tank is growing fast already, so I'm sure I'll put good use of the fragging tools once I switch over..

I have a auto top off setup that slowly drips RO water to keep my SG is very consistant.. Also, since adding my chiller, I got rid of the fans I was using for evaporative cooling. I was going through about 6 gallons of top off a week using fans. Now using the chiller, I only need to top off a little over a gallon a week.

I do 10% weekly water changes using Coralife salt mix which contains strontium..

Ahhh... I had used Coralife Salt for a long time and getting frustrated with pH problems I switched salts and had better luck with my pH. This is not something I can back up with a lot of data, just my own experience.

If its PH that gives anyone a problem ? To fix this you just add 1 TSP of this to a glass of R/O water per 10 gallons of tank water and pour it in to the tank ARM & HAMMER® Super Washing Soda Detergent Booster also great to kick the PH up to help burn out alga's like bryopsis...and hair the booster will just raise the PH and not effect the DKH .. Unlike Bicarbonate will A solid PH of 8.6 will kill off many nuisance alga's

I have always heard more bad then good about Coralife salt. IMO, it seems to be working fine.. I have never had an issue with PH. I do however use PH and Alk buffers often. Oh well, I guess I'm kind of stuck with this stuff for now... I once read it is bad to mix different types of salt.

i think theres less sps nanos cause most nanos are owned by people just getting into the hobby.having sps lps and softies in a small tank can cause wars between the corals, something i worry alot about in my 55 gallon.
