sea snake???

    i know this may be a stupid question to some, but has anyone ever heard of putting a sea snake in a home aquarium?? have you ever seen this done?? i would love to have that in my tank eventually

    I think it would have to be a specialty tank made for that but I doubt you could get it to servive ? they roam the reefs they would need to be in a huge tank .

    probably, but you got to admit it would be pretty cool to have a baby one for a while, definatly something no one else would have

    Correct me if Im wrong on this, but aren't most of the sea snakes really poisonous?

    Sea snakes in a tank are like putting stingrays and sharks in a tank. It looks cool, but its torture on the critters unless you have like a 500g+ tank.

    well yeah they are, but still, if u had shark tank and the $$ for a huge tank then it would mosdef be one of a kind, and box fish and some urchind and goby are poisonous too right, just watch ur fingers when feeding lol!!

    Gobies and the like are like bee stings, sea snakes venom will kill you, sharks will take off fingers and/or hands.

    well, im not actually gonna get one, just wondered if it was possible, are there any other sea creatures you would put in your tank if you could get them??

    I remember reading something about the coral snake that its only docile when you take it out of water because its not use to supporting its body weight.
