| rockscaping/aquascaping Well i finally got to the part where i get to put in the rocks and design but i am in need of some opinions. What i have now is how i was planning on putting it but any suggestions accepted, also you guys and girls think its possible to leave the overflow standpipe exposed and maybe some coraline or something will kind of camouflage it? It been a mission to sculpt the rock around the return and overflow pipes.
I changed the rock setup 6-15-07 _________ 90 gallon tank with center overflows, 44 gallon custom sump/fuge, Tek T5 retrofit 4x54 bulbs, Reef Octopus nw200 protein skimmer, Iwaki WMD40RLXT return pump (changed to panworld 100pxx),Knop c ca reactor, PA light house controller. Click: Real-Time Stats
^^ Testing it out! Ill add more param.. later.

| Eventually, you will have algae growth, hopefully coralline!! But corals will also grow as I have Xenia, Montipora capricornis and zoos attaching to my megaflows as well as my glass!!!
In due time you will have the same. To help speed up the process, I would try placing a frag or colony of zoos, etc. next to the plumbing, and soon enough, the corals will attach, grow and spread under the right conditions! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | I have tested the overflow and has worked out perfect. The water is constant and you don't even notice a difference in water flow entering the overflow when you take the top off, the only difference when you take the top off is sound. I had a thread somewhere in the diy section about the design. Thanks for the concern. |

| alright i bought some new good bulkheads and fixed the tank. I added the water sand and rocks. Here is a picture, the picture is not too good because i took it with my phone. I am currently cycling the tank with a pair of green chromis. Tangster or otty or others could you please give me some advice on the procedure you use to cycle the tank. I know you two did it the old school way.
The tank looks white because the other two bulbs are off.
thanks |

| Shut those lights off for now, you want bacteria to grow right now not algae. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)
