Default ro-di water shelf life

I was thinking of using a 55 gallon plactic drum for my ro-di water - thats a pretty large container- I was wondering how long will it stay fresh if I keep it sealed?

In theory, it would stay "fresh" forever. Practically speaking, organic compounds will eventually leach from the drum, and I wouldn't store water for fish tank use for longer than 3 months. There's a reason that water is known as the universal solvent.

I keep RO/DI in a couple of 22 gallon covered Rubbermaid plastic buckets for weeks.

I also put a powerhead in each bucket to keep the water moving.
