 |  Replica corals
Hello everybody,
I'm leaving to pick up my 110 gallon acrylic in about 10 minutes, WOOOOOOHOOOOO. Anyway, initially it is going to be FOWLR. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any real looking replica corals I can use. I may convert to a full reef tank later but for now, FOWLR. I don't want to use anything that doesn't look real. Thanks.

Thanks Matt. The last thing I want to do is use fake looking fake corals. Does that seem hypocritical to anyone else? It just struck me as kind of odd. | |

One of the stores we frequent has a very large tank that is completely set up with imitation coral. It is amazing how real the coral look. The one thing you have to be concerned about is algae. Since it is not living coral there is the likelihood that algae will coat the imitation coral so you will need to continually clean it.  _________ 72 gallon bowed 150lbs LR 60 lbs LS

i wonder if dumping hundreds of snails in the tank would prevent the algae build up on the fake corals.

I don't think it would prevent it. But it would keep it groomed pretty good. Quote:
