Just a quick question regarding what I should use as far as filtration for a ten gallon quarantine tank. I know my main tank bio filtration comes from live rock, but what should i be uses in quarantine tank?

Heres the info on my main tank, no fish or inverts yet. But I want to be sure my qt tank is cycled before i attempt to purchase any livestock.

I have recently started a ten gallon nano aquarium, it has been cycling for about 7 weeks now.

    Here are the parameters:
    Temp: 76.1
    Salinity: 1.024
    Ammonia: 0 ppm
    Nitrites: 0 ppm
    Nitrates: 5 ppm

I have about 12 pounds of rock in the tank, 5 pounds was live rock and about 7 pounds dry rock. Have a 3/4 inch layer of agaronite live sand for a bed. Rock work is starting to turn a purple tint color as coralline algae spreads.

    Thanks
    Rich

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can use foam or sponge as a medium. Typically the kind found in HOB filtration or internal tank filters.
