Question Prodibio Questions

I bought the BioKIt from Prodibio a few weeks ago and have have a few questions. I have not started the dosing yet because some of the dosing calls for 1amp per 400 liters and my tank is much smaller than that. I have a 40 gallon with a 10 gallon sump. And with all the LR and LS it probably holds 40 gallons so that would be 151.4.... Liters and if you divide that into the 400 liters that each amp will dose than you get 0.3785..... So thats how much of an amp I need about a third of one.

So should I just dose the 1/3 of an amp I need or is it ok to dose the whole thing? I have not really been able to find much info on dosing it. And if I only need 1/3 of an amp can I hold onto the remaining 2/3 and does it need to be refrigerated after I open it or should I just throw it away? Also the bio digest says 1 amp up to 1000 liters so is it ok to add the whole thing or should I break that down also? Anyone have some advice?

i would dose for tank size. because i remember that if you add too much the bacteria overpopulate eat all food from source, die off, and tank crashes......

Adding the whole vial of biodigest (bac) should be fine. it's a waste, but so is flushing it. (fwiw, we dosed 1 vial on our 20g nano, here's a write up on the system we use, incorporating prodibio additives and our own mixed C-source achieved through observation and experimentation at glassbox)

However, be sure to add a dose per your tank size of the optim. reefbooster can be dosed heavily if nutrients are low enough. I would suggest dosing half the recommend dosage to start until the bacteria can low nutrients without excess algae growth from the reefbooster addition.

Also, make sure your params are at NSW and alk is stable before dosing begins...or STN/RTN may occur.
