| Astrea Snail | Does anyone have any experience with the zoo med power sweep powerhead?? I am looking for a decent one for flow in the back of my tank. I also looked at the maxi jet 1200. How does that compare with the zoo med? I am currently running two koralias 3 and 4 on each end of the tank facing each other. Should I do another koralia?? |

| Sailfin Tang | Sweeping powerheads tend to get clogged (the movement) in saltwater tanks. The joints get encrusted with gunk and coralline and they end up failing. I would add another Koralia and direct it where you want more flow. What size tank do you have? The difference between the 3 and 4 is pretty small, I only use 3's myself. _________ 150G Custom All-Glass 48"x24"x33", Bubble King Mini 180, CR-2000 Wet/Dry sump, 380W MH/CF Hamilton, currently with LR and my mean 3-strip damsel, lionfish and porcupine puffer 20G Top-Fin, CPR Bak-Pak2, 70W HOT HQI Hamilton, T5 2x24 actinic supplement, Aquacontroller Jr., 2 maroons, BTA nem 65G Clear-For-Life All-in-one aquarium, Aqua-C EV-180, 130W Coralife CF Retrofit, empty 12G JBJ Nanocube 2 misbar ocellaris clowns, AquaticLife 115 skimmer, upgraded to 2 Current USA LED lights. |
