What is the best way to solve a power outage? can i use a large computer battery backup on my main pump? or is a generator the best way to go??

Any back up power is good, but IMO, the generator is the best.

Generator but make sure you have plenty of gas on had because a gas station can't pump gas without electricity either. Best thing to do is get one that runs on LP. You can get that without electricity.

natural gas generator connected to the house that either just runs specific circuits or the whole house and only turns on when the power is out and uses the houses natural gas. no more power outages.

    Generator

The NG generator is the way to go if you can. It has saved me a couple of times. Auto on auto off.:)
