Great. I just got home and she's on her side. She's still alive, but I'm sure she won't be by morning. Isn't there anything I can do??

not totally.. Do you have stress coat .. did you put any in with it?

But unfortunately your fish just might not make it. Sounds bad. Hopefully it will pull trough.

Good luck

What kind of goldfish is it?

oops, didnt see your last post, if she's on her side its probably game over, move her to a bowl or something cause the other fish will pick at her if she can't defend herself

There are no other fish right now. She's the only one in there. The japanese thing that caused this is in a bowl on the counter. I don't have any stress coat - I didn't have time to go get any tonight. Is there something that salt can do? Didn't I read that somewhere? Maybe I should google it...

i wouldn't do anything but wait then, i know its hard cause you want to help them but honestly you're just gonna hasten it's departure, if you think it's suffering and want to end its misery put it in a glass of water in the freezer and let it die, i'm told thats the most humane thing to do

i dont think that is very humane... lol they feel the cold and themselves freezing ... i always just flush them if they are miserable and that also is better that it is out of the tank because then if it does die it does ot release a ton of ammonia into the water.
