| Photos It's been about 7 months now and I've only posted pics of my first two corals right after purchase. That post contained pics of mushrooms and zoas. The zoas are pretty happy, albeit have decreased in number I'm afraid. The mushrooms are very healthy, but have faded somewhat from a deep purple to a lilac color. They have retained their texture and meaty pimply appearance.
About 3 months ago I added a green star polyp, and a yellow polyp. My wife calls the green star polyp "the cush ball." It's probably the healthiest specimen in the tank. When closed (between about 5 a.m. and 8 a.m.) it exhibits a purple mat, which has grown approximately 3 sq. inches onto a piece of adjoining LR. From this new growth of purple mat extend maybe 50 new stars.
The yellow polyp is almost never closed except when brine shrimp hit the seas. The little polyps grab whatever floats by and digest for a scant 10 min's before opening back up.
My next coral will be a frogspawn.
I'll keep everyone posted.
For luna, I'm making this a photo extravaganza post. Does 7 pics qualify for extravaganza?
