Does anyone know where I would be able to find a LUX or PAR meter for my aquarium?
I'm assuming that it has to be a waterproof sensor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated;)

They aren't cheap. Both clubs in St Louis own the Apogee PAR meter that has a separate waterproof sensor. You can get them at Premium Aquatics.

    Curt,
I know that they're very expensive and the only reason why I'm remotely interested in getting one is because, me along with 2 other hobbyists in Trinidad are willing to split the cost.
Would you be able to provide me with a direct link?
I've searched on Premium Aquatics website to no avail.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Thanks

if you have a multi meter then all you need is the sensor, and some spare leads. Solder the leads to the sensor, and you have a PAR meter. The techs at Apogee told me that if I owned a multimeter, to just get the sensor.

Wow, that's great to know; thanks for the info BTowned! This is just the Apogee par sensor? Is there any calibration or conversions necessary?

I got this off a site selling the Apogee par sensor.

"It can be used with data acquisition systems or simply connected to a multimeter capable of measuring mV. The measured voltage is then converted to PAR/PPF range simply by multiplying the value by 5. This is a cost effective solution for your PAR monitoring and measurement."

So it looks like it will work.

Perfect! The meter is just a little too tough to justify. The sensor not quite so bad :)
